T20 World Cup 2021: Chris Morris reiterates that he is done playing for South Africa

T20 World Cup 2021: The current World Cup is seeing a lot of controversies from various ends. It is becoming a very different kind of tournament where a lot is going on.

Moreover, Cricket South Africa is seeing a massive surge in divisional politics. Nothing has been going good for the South African country in terms of cricket as well as politics in the country.

However, South Africa had a pretty pale start to the t20 World Cup 2021. They won just one game in their warm-up phase. But the Proteas played well to dominate against Pakistan in the second warm-up game.

It was a fairly dominant performance from just a single batsman in the second innings of the match. Moreover, Pakistan went on to score 190 in the first innings of the t20 match but nothing went according to the plan after that.

However, South Africa went on to start their t20 World Cup campaign against Australia. But the batting of the Proteas has not been good for a long time. And the display against Australia in the World Cup opener match showed exactly why.

The majority of the players are struggling to find the form on the slow and rough UAE pitches. Moreover, the batsman is not getting enough pace on the bat to hit long shots. However, Faf du Plessis was brilliant for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL but he was not selected for the t20 World Cup squad.

T20 World Cup 2021: Chris Morris confirms he will not play for South Africa

Moreover, nothing has been going good after the new regime took over the Cricket South Africa operations. The new members have been blatantly taking pathetic decisions. And the decisions hich are not in the interest of South Africa’s t20 World Cup campaign.

The CSA recently went on to release an ultimatum against their players. Moreover, the officials went on to demand that it would be compulsory to take the knee for the BLM movement in the t20 World Cup 2021.

Many players were furious with the kind of decision that had been imposed on them. Similarly, Quinton de Kock was removed from the starting eleven after he refused to take the knee. It was in the t20 match against West Indies.

Even Chris Morris has decided to never play for South Africa again in International cricket. Moreover, the rounder has had enough of the Cricket South Africa board’s tantrums.

He said, “My playing days for South Africa are done. I am not one for announcing things and officially retiring and all of that. They know where I stand, I know where I stand, but my days are done for CSA, I think they know that.”

However, this is a major shock for the South African board because they have lost a talented all rounder from international cricket.
