T20 World Cup 2022: Watch Canada players do a Mushfiqur Rahim, celebrate prematurely and then go on to lose the match

T20 World Cup 2022: The preparations for next year’s T20 World Cup are already on as the World Cup qualifiers have begun. This even before the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2021.

The current T20 World Cup is being played in the UAE wherein a lot of teams are struggling to find form. Moreover, heavyweight teams like India and West Indies are already knocked out of the tournament.

These teams were regarded as the favourites for the T20 World Cup 2021. But India and West Indies could not even qualify for the semi-finals phase. Pakistan, England, Australia and New Zealand made it to the semi-finals of the tournament.

However, even the tournament went on to be boring than usual. It was because the majority of the T20 matches were turning out to be low scoring and hence uninteresting. Moreover, this happened primarily because the matches were being played in the UAE.

The UAE has fairly slow pitches when compared to other countries. It is due to the dry and rough weather that the pitches help the spinners. Hence, we are witnessing a lot of low scoring T20 games in this World Cup.

However, the next T20 World Cup in Australia is going to be a better one. It is because the pitches are more suitable for the batsman and the ball to carry faster than usual with bounce.

T20 World Cup 2022: Canadian players celebrate prematurely only to get beaten by the USA

A unique incident arrived in the recently played T20 World Cup 2022 qualifier match. The match was being played between two associate nations that were USA and Canada in Antigua. The team of the U.S were chasing a tricky total which went till the last ball of the T20 match.

Moreover, the USA needed three runs from the last ball. The batsman could not hit the ball and the ball went to the wicketkeeper. However, the batsman went on to run and the wicket-keeper hit the bails just then. The players started celebrating and the batsman ran two runs. The game then went to a super over and the USA won the game.
