PAK VS WI: Imam Ul Haq Vents Out His Frustration On The Pitch After A Miscommunication With Babar Azam Results In A Run Out

PAK WI: Pakistan are locking horns with West Indies in the second of the three-match ODI series. The Green Shirts already won the first ODI by 5 wickets at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan.

Rightly so, they took the first lead in the three-match ODI series. Meanwhile, the second ODI is taking place at the same venue.

captain Babar Azam won the toss and opted to bat first.

West Indies bowler Anderson Phillip got rid of Fakhar Zaman for just 17 runs (3 fours). Despite losing the first wicket early on, the Green Shirts steadied the ship in the form of Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam.

The duo approached the innings with caution and aggression. They took the West Indies’ bowling attack to the cleaners by adding a 120-run stand for the second wicket.

Both the batters scored a half-century apiece. Moreover, they scored runs sensibly by not taking risks. They played calculative shots and kept things in control before a miscommunication ruined things.

During the fifth ball of the 28th over, a miscommunication between Imam ul Haq and Babar Azam happened in the first place. The drama unfolded when Imam ul Haq decided to take a single.

While Imam made up his mind to get to the other end, Pakistan captain Babar Azam didn’t seem to move one bit. The Pakistan captain remained motionless at the other end.

As it turned out, Imam ul Haq had to pay the price since Babar Azam didn’t move to the striker’s end. By the time Imam realized that Babar Azam was not responding, it was too late. Imam departed after scoring 72 (6 fours).
